Play slower. Keep the pitch.
Adjust the tempo of your audio files from 25 to 200%. Musitron uses a longer analysis window for very slow passages. Keep the pitch or transpose up to twelve semitones in either direction, with fine adjustments in cents.
That one passage you haven’t mastered yet?
Slow it down. Listen closely. Play it again.
Turn listening into playing.
A focused space to listen, repeat and understand, without a full music production setup.

Select a section in the waveform, move it along your chosen grid—from a full bar to a 1/32 note—and save it for your next session. The practice timeline shows bars and loop length. Right-click to place the first beat or an A/B marker exactly where you need it.
Estimate the pulse of local recordings or tap it yourself. Tap Tempo shows the average over the time since your first tap. Adjust the first beat and fine-tune BPM with the continuous dial (hold Shift for smaller steps). Your active loop follows the grid as you adjust it.
A chromatic tuner, guitar and bağlama presets, and repeatable reference tones in ten plucked timbres. Adjust each string and octave. Microphone processing stays on your device.
Open an MP3, WAV or your own video. Or connect a YouTube video using a link, search or the Chrome extension.
Zoom in on the fingers using a selection rectangle or pan the view, even in fullscreen. Set A and B and focus on the exact passage you want to learn.
Play along and raise or lower the tempo next to Play in adjustable steps of 5 or 10 percentage points. Your selected loop stays in place. Move it by your chosen grid unit and save useful practice passages for each song. Your library automatically remembers tempo, pitch, grid and the last loop. The desktop app reopens your last practiced song when you restart it.
Local videos stay in sync with your practice tempo. The waveform, A/B loops and bar grid help you repeat individual bars or a sequence of selected bars. “Find motifs” can highlight similar local bars in matching colors—an experimental guide, not a transcription into sheet music. Audio and microphone data are processed locally. Embedded YouTube videos offer limited features; independent pitch control, audio analysis and a real waveform require a local audio track. Only import content you have the rights to use.
20 drum patterns and ten kit voicings, from acoustic drums and cajón to electronic sounds. Play freely without a song, or let the accompaniment follow your tempo and A/B loop. An optional metronome counts along with an accented first beat and subdivisions.
69 bundled local samples from MuldjordKit / FreePats and the Versilian Community Sample Library. Multiple velocity layers and alternating recordings for acoustic drums; ten voicings drawn from three open collections. Practice in 5/8, 7/8, 9/8 and 12/8, too.
Musitron is an independent software project by Murat Eren for musicians who want to practice with their own recordings. The app brings slower playback, pitch control, practice passages, rhythm accompaniment and a tuner into one interface. This website shows real screenshots of the development preview; it is not a browser app.
